The Ted & Molllie Carr Endowment provided funding to construct and outdoor area and pavilion in the Kingsley Mortimer Unit for older persons at North Shore Hospital. This has enabled an extended area outdoors and new forums for the residents in this secure dementia unit

2010 The Ted & Mollie Carr Endowment has for the second time awarded a major contribution to the care & services of the elderly in the Waitemata health region.
Funding has been provided for the establishment of a Rehabilitation Pathway programme for those elderly in residential care
This programme “The Carr Pathway” will provide assessment and intervention to enable rehabilitation to the best level possible for those living in residential care aiming for the outcome of returning to individual independence
