First time ever, an ice skating rink in a retail mall

Westfield Glenfield Centre Management presents the first part of the donation to NSHF Chair & Representative of HC4K

The Glenfield Westfield shopping destination brought in a 15 x 7 metre ice skating rink from Australia, the first time such a concept had been used in a retail area in New Zealand

For a gold coin donation skaters enjoyed an hour on the ice while charitably supporting Home Care 4 Kids. The event was so successful the management extended the season and enjoyed customers fully booking every session. The fundraising as part of Westfield Glenfield corporate citizenship and community support programme raised $14,700 towards providing a loan bank of medical & comfort equipment to assist families with their children at home while they heal or assist in the long term care of those needing support

A brilliant achievement for the sick children in our community
