Tile Mural Project
|
This is a joint project with Morris and James Pottery and Tileworks to create a positive healing environment for everyone who uses the facilities at North Shore Hospital. A series of themed murals is planned for each floor of the hospital. These murals will reflect our local geography, flora and fauna. |

Projects to provide special tactile tile walls for the children's waiting areas and the interior theme for the main entrance are being undretaken. The corporate values images have been translated into brightly coloured tiles for branding, decor and corporate gifts in the form of drink coasters. |
|
Staff are encouraging grateful patients, families and visitors to show their appreciation to the staff for cares given, by contributing to the tiles project, instead of buying chocolates and flowers.Shown is a picture of the diversionary wall created in Radiology's children waiting room. This diversionary wall is the first of its kind, developed as an educationally based interactive tactile tile mural. |

The corporate values have been created into tile form by Morris and James Pottery & Tile works of Matakana from designs created by Ailsa Reilly of Auckland's North Shore. These tiles are seen integrated into the decor throughout the hospital, identifying commitment to the values and providing a bright and well themed branding for the hospital.
