Fundraising is underway to help build a medical knowledge and conference centre for the advancement of health research, clinical practice and expertise at North Shore Hospital.

The centre will be situated on the sunny sheltered northern side of the existing hospital, overlooking Lake Pupuke. With a dedicated public entrance and suitable car-parking a conference centre and scientific breakout area will be complemented by a 200 seat Auditorium.

The Medical Library will be expanded and re-sited adjacent to the conference centre and provide user friendly access for the public and the needs of the health professionals, including areas for private personal study and a suite as a quiet space for temporary individual research.

Branding and naming opportunities are available for the following:

• Overall facility: includes exterior facades, main foyer and all livery
• Auditorium: includes full interior, seating for 200, projection, sound & interpreting services
• Library: All library facilities including individual research & study areas
• Scientific Meeting Lounge & Deck: A 53sq metre lounge for small scientific meetings with independent kitchen facilities for individual functions
• Function & Gallery Area: The function area is directly inside the foyer prior to the auditorium entry. Available for pre & post meeting functions, cocktail events and trade display
• Conference Breakout Room: A multifunctional larger area for conference breakout or trade display, medium sized meetings or banquet setting
• Video conference suite: A completely equipped state of art video conference centre to allow telemedicine
