Become a Business or Corporate Friend of The North Shore Hospital Foundation. Be involved in giving both in kind and with our annual donation programme to help make a huge difference in the health of your community.
This initiative is in line with current practice of corporate citizenship where organisations attain the "triple bottom line" goal of social, environmental and economic development.
The advantage of working in partnership with other agencies in the commercial sector is that the programme can run along-side existing funding sources, ensuring the expertise of each group is available to support a regional asset that benefits all.
Partnerships are also a way of satisfying individual goals.
The Business & Corporate Friend's of the Hospital is a project to encourage an annual charitable donation from businesses in the North Shore and Rodney areas that are geographically related to the Hospital.
It is hoped that donations of $1000 to $5000 per individual business will be attained.
These charitable donations are naturally tax deductible and there are several benefits for organisations who choose a charity each year to align themselves with.
Partnering one main local charity allows your business to provide an explanation to the multiple groups requesting assistance as to your agreed commitment, and thereby making an efficient one off donation.
High profile public acknowledgement comes as part of the donation, a large donor board is placed in the main foyer of the hospital with all donors clearly nominated. The main foyer at the hospital has a pedestrian traffic of 150,000 persons per month. It is well documented that potential customers tend to place their business with groups engaged with a charitable ethos.
Another opportunity when part of "The Friends" project is the access to the staff of the Waitemata DHB and the associated support group Health Alliance.
As a contributor your company/business will be listed on the staff Intranet with a hyperlink to your website. Our combined staff total is in the vicinity of 7000 and they actively use the staff benefits site where the "Friends" will be listed.

Each month the foundation runs a column in the North Shore Times/The Foundation Focus and your contribution to the project will be noted as you join us.
