International Aid
2009; The foundation combined with Rotary Districts 9910 & 9920 along with the International Community Service programme sending a large shipment- enough to fill a 20 tonne container of medical equipment to SantoVanuatu
The shipment included medical consumables, patient monitors, mobility equipment and a fully integrated Coronary Care patient physiological monitoring system

The foundation has a very active International Aid Programme and is partnered with Rotary District 9910, Medicines Mondiale and Bright Eyes Plantation(Africa) in projects to make available and ship surplus medical equipment, furnishings and consumables around the globe.
Specific areas that have received assistance from the Foundation are Fiji, Vanuatu, Tonga, Samoa, Nepal, India and Mozambique.
Surplus equipment is accrued as refurbishment and replacement cycles of aging equipment occur within the health organisation's normal business cycle and with the requirements to update technology.

2006 Rotary District 9910 International Community Project has included a new
relationship with the rotary club of Tavenui Island in the Fiji group. Rotary
has facilitated the establishment and staffing of a hospital on the island. A
shipment of surplus medical consumables, equipment and uniforms has been sent
and future shipments are intended to help with their ambitious plan of improving
the health of the Islanders.
A second very large shipment of medical consumables and equipment including 10 pieces of high end medical monitoring equipment was sent to Tavenui Rotary Hospital in July.
The Foundation co-ordinated aquiring these monitors from hospital, medical centres, specialist rooms with the help of the team from MedXus, an NZ medical distributer.
The Tavenui Hospital has now completed two major surgical intervention projects with assistance from NZ surgical teams and provided both cataract surgery and plastic and reconstructive surgery for the International Cleft Programme.

Shipments to hospitals and medical centres in Fiji continue and from mid year onwards, the foundation has been contributing recyclable medical and rehabilitation equipment to Far North health trusts marae based health centres.
Coordinated by Hauora O Kaikohe who collect and distribute to their colleagues across the Far North District.
2010 Fiji shipment
Yet another large shipment of redundant medical equipment, beds that have been phased out for electric models, old wheelchairs, mobility aids and other medical devices have been shipped away to assist with a Cancer Hospital In Fiji.
This shipment follows 2 others recently moved abroad. A combined effort including the Rotary Districts 9910 & 9920 International Aid committee and members from the Ellerslie Sunrise, Auckland East & East Coast Bays club members.
Not to leave out our animal friends the foundation has contributed medical consumables and small equipment to SPAW (South Pacific Animal Welfare) This voluntary group of Vets and veterinarian nurses are visiting Samoa & Tonga to help with animal issues in those Pacific regions.
2011 Aid to the Philippines
- A project to support the Emergency Fire & Ambulance services in rural Bacolod City has been completed with the cooperation of the Bacolod Rotary Club. A shipment of defibrillators, suction units, physiological monitors, intravenous equipment and consumables have been gratefully received and put to immediate use
- Help for Cruzado Missionary Hospital, Pikit.Cruzado a missionary hospital & medical outreach clinic project operates through districts in and around Pikit, Cotabato close to the Moro Gulf near the tip of Malaysia. Working with the poor and indigent patients, the operation receives no medical or social support from government funding.

The foundation has provided, hydraulic beds, medical monitors, mobility equipment, orthopaedic aids, tables, chairs, office equipment and medical consumables to assist in this brave medical endeavour
